What is Loose Lay?
Loose lay vinyl flooring refers to products that can be laid directly over a clean, existing flooring. They feature a backing that allows the floor to grip the subfloor – holding it in place without the need for glue or staples.

Loose lay is produced with a unique anti-slip backing, the installation process is simple, the planks or tiles are installed by butting the edges tightly. This provides for an impressive finished look, but also provides a high degree of stability. This flooring therefore donesn’t require adhering to the subfloor or expensive subfloor prepareation that traditional flooring needs. Larger installations may require adhesive around the perimeter. Expansion gaps may not be required.
